About

The short version: I make systems, ship them, and document them.

I'm Guillermo Bravo, a Full-Stack Engineer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Six years shipping production systems, currently AI Engineer at Factor IT. Years of writing code by hand let me orchestrate processes across languages at a higher level of abstraction.

The longer version

I got into code through a development course. My first professional role was at Lima Innovation Lab in 2021, where I shipped a telemedicine platform with real-time video consultations, electronic prescriptions, medical records, RBAC and payments. A heavy domain for a first job, which set the tone for everything after.

That same year I joined Numen Academy as both a frontend instructor and developer. I taught HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React to career-changers while running freelance projects: landing pages, scheduling and shift-management tools, academic-operations software. Workshops on job-search skills and LinkedIn presence became a side gig of their own.

From 2021 to 2023 I was at iVoy (Mexico) as a Frontend Developer. I owned three product surfaces: the customer app for parcel tracking, the operations dashboard used by dispatch and support teams, and the marketing site, all built on React, Redux, GraphQL and Leaflet for real-time logistics.

From 2023 to 2026 I was Tech Lead at Propital. I owned a monorepo of 25+ apps and 60+ APIs, with React and Next.js on the frontend and FastAPI and Python on the backend. I designed the engineering standards the team shipped under: typed rules, automated review, formalized domain boundaries, structured docs. That consolidation let the team sustain the original scope with a significantly smaller headcount. I was one of the engineers with production deploy authority.

In April 2026 I joined Factor IT as AI Engineer. Factor IT is a fourteen-year-old consultancy specialised in data and AI-driven transformation for enterprise clients in banking, telco, retail, mining, energy and education. I design and ship AI-native solutions: model integration against core systems, agent workflows, and data pipelines on top of Factor's delivery platform.

I have strong UX/UI instincts. The frontend is the part of the stack I care about the most, and I've been writing AWS infrastructure (Amplify, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, Cognito) long enough that serverless is part of how I think about shipping.

How I work

  • I'm a senior pair for whatever is on the table: product, architecture, model integration, deploy.
  • I don't ship code I haven't read. AI is in the loop, not the call: every commit, prompt and integration goes through review.
  • I treat docs like tests: the place where the team's shared mental model lives.
  • I run toward interesting problems and away from busywork. AI engineering is the interesting problem today.
