What it is
MEL Salud is a digital medical management platform connecting patients and healthcare professionals. It covers the full care loop: chat, 1:1 video consults, appointment booking, electronic prescriptions, patient history and in-platform payments.
What I did
Frontend architecture in React + Redux + TypeScript with Twilio Video as the real-time video layer. Patient and professional views were two facets of the same codebase with shared state and separate feature flags, so a change in prescriptions propagated cleanly to both without duplication.
Why I liked it
Healthcare UX is unforgiving - users are in a rush, often stressed, and the stakes are high. The work pushed me toward radical clarity: fewer clicks, better defaults, zero ambiguous states.
